Ogun Digital Summit promises to be the largest tech event of the year in Ogun State – Victor Adeleye

Ogun Digital Summit, the largest tech event in Ogun State, Nigeria, will return for its fourth edition on Thursday October 26, 2023 at June 12, Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta, Ogun State. The summit started in 2020 with focus on promoting youth empowerment, tech entrepreneurship and social innovation.

The impact in the last 3 years cannot be overemphasized as the talent pool in Ogun State has quadrupled with the presence of Grazac Academy in the state running a “Learn Now Pay Later” model to help youngs individuals get into tech and pay when they are hired and beyond this, just to mention a few, startups like EduTAMS, Fidia and Grupp based in the state have attracted international funding putting Ogun State on the global map.

During the Ogun Digital Summit 2022, Eng. Noimot Salako, the Deputy Governor of Ogun State, graced the event and shed further light on the supportive environment established by the state government. This environment aims to inspire young individuals to harness technology for addressing issues within the state. Additionally, in attendance was Kashifu Inuwa, the Director General of NITDA.

In his remarks, Inuwa emphasized the significance of human talent in driving innovation and technology. He stressed the importance of universities, institutions, and corporate organizations being active participants in this ecosystem. These entities, he noted, play a crucial role in nurturing the necessary talents required to address societal challenges.

The fourth edition of Ogun Digital Summit is focused on exploring innovation beyond boundaries, scaling in the creative economy and the impact of AI and web3 in our day to day activities. Ogun Digital Summit is proudly supported by Ogun State Bureau of IT, AFEX, the leading technology startup in Africa listed by Financial times, EduTAMS, an edtech startup changing the narratives of operations in secondary schools and tertiary institutions in Nigeria with TechEconomy and Technext as official media partners.
