Starting on May 15, 2023, Osawemwenhio attended the renowned Global Solution Summit held in Berlin, Germany. This influential event brought together leaders, experts, and policymakers from around the world to discuss and develop innovative solutions to pressing global challenges. Osawemwenhio actively participated in various panel discussions and workshops, sharing valuable insights on youth empowerment and sustainable development.
Continuing his journey of international engagements, Osawemwenhio then proceeded to the Digital Society Forum held in Berkane, Morocco, on May 24. This forum explored the transformative power of digital innovation and its impact on society. As a respected leader in youth advocacy, Rt. Osawemwenhio shared his experiences and expertise in leveraging digital advancements to foster positive social change.
Undeterred in his pursuit of creating a sustainable future, from June 5 to 9, 2023, Rt Hon. Osawemwenhio attended the United Nations Habitat Assembly in Nairobi, Kenya. The assembly revolved around the theme “A Sustainable Urban Future through Inclusive and Effective Multilateralism: Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals in Times of Global Crises.” Osawemwenhio actively participated in the sessions, emphasizing the importance of inclusive approaches and effective multilateral cooperation to address urban challenges and achieve sustainable development.
During his attendance at the UN Habitat Assembly, Rt Osawemwenhio Uwagboe had the privilege of meeting with Maimunah Mohd Sharif, the esteemed Executive Director of UN-Habitat. Their meeting involved fruitful discussions on the critical role of youth in shaping urban policies and fostering sustainable cities for all.
